What happens on a Brand Content Day

One planned visit, about four hours, and a month of photos and short videos for your business. Here's how a Brand Content Day runs.

What happens on a Brand Content Day

Most small businesses run their social media on phone snapshots: a quick photo of today's special, a blurry shot of the team at an event, the same storefront picture used for the third year running. It works until you need a website refresh, an ad or a feature in the local paper, and there's nothing good to send.

A Brand Content Day fixes that in one visit. We spend up to four hours at your shop, office or venue and leave you with about 40 edited photos and three short vertical videos, enough for a month of posts plus images for your website and ads. Here's how it runs.

Before the day: the brief and the shot list

It starts with the booking form: what your business does, where you are and roughly when. We reply within one business day with questions, a plan and a quote.

Then we build a shot list together. It's organised around where the images will be used, not around what's easy to photograph:

  • Your website: a strong owner portrait, the team, the space, and a few wide images that can sit behind text.
  • Social media: a mix of people, product and detail shots, plus the three vertical videos.
  • Ads and press: clean, well-lit images with room to crop.

A 25% retainer holds your date, and it's credited to your final invoice.

On the day: portraits, product, space and video

We arrive with lights and follow the shot list, moving through portraits, product, your space and video in about four hours. Lighting is the big difference from phone photos: we light your space properly, so a dim bar or a windowless office still looks like somewhere people want to be.

Portraits get used everywhere, so they're always on the list. We keep them relaxed: a few minutes per person, with direction so people look like themselves. As Beth Coffey, Executive Director of the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber, put it:

…he makes people feel at ease and delivers great results.

The same visit can go well beyond the front door. The content day for The Soul Asylum Studios Group (that's Rafael Capone at the top of this post) also included a portrait at the wheel of a car.

Then comes the thing you sell, photographed so it's the star: a drink being poured, a product on a clean background, the details of materials and finish.

The vertical videos are shot in the same visit, so they match the photos. Each one is 15 to 30 seconds, cut and ready to post on Reels, TikTok and Shorts.

After the day: your gallery

Edited photos and the three videos arrive in a private online gallery, usually within a week. Your licence covers your own website, social media, ads, email, presentations, press and printed marketing.

How to get the most from it

  1. Decide where the images will live. A new website page, a month of Instagram posts or a launch? Tell us, and the shot list follows.
  2. Pick your people. The owner, plus two or three team members who are comfortable on camera.
  3. Have the product ready. Clean, stocked and in the colours you want to show.
  4. Think about moments, not just poses. Pouring, building, greeting a customer: these make the best short videos.
  5. Tidy, but don't stage. Your space should look like itself on a good day.

What it costs

A Brand Content Day starts at $1,650, and travel is free within 25 miles of Duluth. Every quote is built around your space and schedule. See everything that's included on the Brand Content Day page or on services and prices.
